Prostitution Is Not Just Another Job
Uncovering the Trauma, Violence, and Urgent Need for Change
60% of females have been physically assaulted. 40% have suffered sexual violence. 40% were coerced into the commercial sex trade. Females involved in street prostitution are 60 to 100 times more likely to be murdered than are non-prostituted females. In the U.S. alone, prostitution is a $14.6 billion industry, larger than the $12.8 billion generated by the NFL and NBA combined.
Our mission is to empower victims of prostitution with hope and healing through the guidance by connecting clients with resources, support services community networks.. We aim to provide a supportive and non-judgmental space, offering words of encouragement and care, to help them reclaim their lives and find a path towards a brighter future. By showing them love, compassion, and acceptance, we hope to assist these females in leaving the streets behind and embracing a new beginning. As a prison facilitator, advocate for sex workers and domestic violence victims, and director of operations for People Helping People in Los Angeles California, my goal is educating, addressing trauma, abuse or systemic injustices.
If you'd like to support this noble cause, donations or contributions of any kind would be gratefully appreciated.
