My heart desires to build a Career Transition Center in Ghana
I had an amazing experience in Ghana.
Meeting ordinary people doing extraordinary work to help make a difference in Africa is wonderful. I had the privilege to visit Crismond Academy and saw the need of school supplies in classrooms.
Children having school supplies of their own can improve grades, creativity, attitudes towards learning, behavior, peer relationships and self-image. Most schools are in poor environment which is usually not conducive to learning. Classes are overcrowded, water and sanitation facilities are inadequate and trained teachers and school books are in short supply.
The poor quality of education is reflected in students' results that affects their ability to be successful. I want to build a new transition Career Center for the young adults coming out of high school. This will empower encourage and inspire them.
Let’s prepare our students for life after school through a series of life skills courses designed to develop independence and self advocacy skills.
Please help me to empower, encourage and inspire our young adults of today by giving them the education they desire and deserve.
